Cottonmouth is a new spoken word
narrative art project coming out of Perth,

Western Australia.
In an attempt to break out from
the isolation
of this far flung city,
Cottonmouth has adopted

a very unique format -

it is part performance night,
part publicaiton, part podcast.
This means that Cottonmouth has,

at its heart,
a national perspective.
Therefore, it is looking for

national content for its zine,
COTTTONMOUTH.
This zine is now open for submissions.

There are a few simple guidelines:
- submit two poems of no more

than 60 lines each.
- submit four smaller poems
if they are no more than 15 lines each.
- submit ficition or non fiction of no more
than 1200 words max.
- submit up to four illustrations

in black and white,
300dpi and suitable for publication.
- ALL WORK must be accompanied

with a 50 word bio.
please remember to include

weblinks in your bios
if you wish to draw readers attention
to your work online. - each piece submitted
must be in a separate attachment.
- bio can appear in body of email but must
also appear as separate attachment also.
- rtfs, word documents and jpegs
are preferred form of attachment.
- please include postal address

if you wish to receive
a copy of the zine

and you're unable to attend
COTTONMOUTH, which occurs on the
second thursday of every month at the
Rosemount Hotel's Bar 459 on the corner of
Fitzgerald and Angove streets in North Perth.
- please email all work to
info@cottonmouth. org.au
and remember that this is

a monthly publication,
so work may appear in one or two issues

depending.
Thank you for your time.
For more information please visit
http://www.cottonmouth.org.au
(sorry - there is a problem with this link)
and check out readings from previous nights,

videos of performers and the unique
body of work that is our Pegline Project.

"Auckland based poet Christian Jensen is a global
nomad and hermit, born and raised between the
glacier gnawn mountains and fjords of Norway.
After publishing the small book 'Zin Uru' and
a few chapbooks he has decided it is time to
spread the word and bridge the gap
between Auckland and Melbourne poets.
Christian is an organizer of Poetry Live,
the largest poetry venue in Auckland. He has
also spearheaded the Transient poetry movement
in New Zealand and is the founder of the
Guerilla Poets of Auckland." Check out:

Enough ! Magazine #1

Greetings all,
I am pleased to annouce that the first
issue of Enough! Magazine has arrived.
Weighing in at a humble 17A4 spreads,
it houses 2 essays, 2 short stories,
8 poems, a comic, an 'events' section,
a 'regualr rant', and a crossword.
*
Many thanks to the contributors:
Raymondo, Ed Burger, Sparx,
Pamela Sidney, Michael Groth,
Athena Dennis, Oskr Wyldkat,
and Ren Yellam.
*
Zines are currently being
scattered around the country.
Locations include:
(Melb.) The Dan O'Connell,

Peril Underground,
(Syd.) Red Eye Records -
and this list will soon grow

(visit http://groups.myspace.com/

*
They are available 'by donation' ($3-$4)
or you might be able to score one
of the many free copies laying around
at train stations, cafes, universities, etc.
You can also order direct from
Email:
enoughmagazine@yahoo.com.au,

or just bug one of the contributors
until they cough up.
*
And this is not the end -
quite the contrary,
for Enough #2 is on the cards
for late this year, or early next,
so keep sending me work.
Cheers
Tom Morrow - ed.

Hello writers for Film and TV & Producers
FLOODS
I have an exciting original story
on climate change
for your consideration.
http://effectivelawreform.org/http://effectivelawreform.org/
'Stabilising the Earth's Climate and
Disposing of all Nuclear Waste'
Please go to my site and see if you can make
a TV/Movie Drama or Documentary
from selected parts.
Some of my inventions will work and some
may not - that is why it is such an opportunity -
none of us know the outcome.
*
Patent Applications are in the pipeline.
I need a small royalty to start putting the
simpler ideas into operation.
My patent agent filed a Trade Mark
application for Permatricity on
July 16th 2007.

Most of all we need a quick start - before
we all get washed away!
I look forward to your reply,
